1. Role Purpose
- The Sales Director is responsible for overseeing business operations of Ureka Media, developing revenue strategies, expanding market presence, growing the partner network, and ensuring that revenue and profit targets are met or exceeded.
- This role leads the Sales team, hunts for new business opportunities, expands the client base, and develops the sales pipeline while optimizing operational performance.
2. Key Responsibilities
- RFP/Brief Management and Communication: Sales Director will work with Head of Account, Account, Sales to provide clients with strategic cross-channel recommendations, while identifying and pursuing new business opportunities.
- Team Training and Mentorship: Oversee ongoing training, coaching, and development of the entire Sales team to enhance skills in client acquisition, solution selling, and account management.
- Data Analysis & Performance Optimization: Analyze sales and market data from multiple sources, interpret insights, and communicate recommendations to optimize sales pipeline, campaign performance, and revenue growth.
- Market & Campaign Understanding: Understand campaign setup, tag management, brand safety setup, and performance fluctuations to guide sales strategies and account positioning.
- Strategic Growth Contribution: Contribute to overall business growth through operational and technology-driven efficiencies, strategic insights, and market development initiatives.
- Presentation & Communication: Develop high-level presentation and communication skills for internal reporting, client pitches, and business proposals.
- Deliverables & Reporting: Help compile critical deliverables for executive reporting including revenue analysis, market insights, and visualization of sales performance.
- Audience & Client Activation: Demonstrate the ability to analyze target audience and client needs, and activate sales opportunities across multiple channels and platforms.
- Partner & Contract Management: Manage partner communication and deliverables, including contracts, IOs, fees, discrepancies, reconciliations, invoices, and other commercial documentation.
- Revenue & Profit Responsibility: Sales Director is fully responsible for the company's sales and profit targets, reporting performance to the Board of Directors.
- Business Strategy & Planning: Lead business strategy and planning for each product/service segment, ensuring effective nationwide business operations.
- Sales Team Structure & Development: Establish the structure, management, and professional development of the Sales team, including recruitment, onboarding, and mentoring.
- Distribution & Partnership Network: Build and manage distribution channel networks, project channels, and cultivate long-term strategic relationships with partners and customers.
- Reporting: Report directly to the General Director on business performance, pipeline, and strategic initiatives.
3. Professional Requirements
Qualifications & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related fields.
- 7–10+ years experience in media, digital, advertising, publishers, AdTech/MarTech, or related industries.
- Proven track record in leading P&L, expanding business operations, and growing revenue.
- Experience managing Sales and Account teams of 10–30+ members.
- Strong understanding of DSP platforms, ad serving technologies, digital media planning, and cross-channel activation.
- Experience working with global agencies, enterprise clients, or high-value accounts is a major advantage.
